Elden Ring Director On Game's Toughness: 'More Players will Finish It'
We are less than a month out from the release of Elden Ring. Many are already planning to get off work to Elden Ring Runes play the game. Others are planning to switch off from the internet to get away from another round of game-related debate about the difficulty. Director Hidetaka Miyazaki addressed the issue in a recent interview, saying that while it wasn't his intention to create Elden Ring easier as some might have hoped, he thinks more people are likely to complete it than the previous FromSoftware games.
Asked about game difficulty and accessibility on the PlayStation Blog, Miyazaki tried to clear the air regarding what the Dark Souls games are really about, before revealing why he believes Elden Ring won't stress players out like his previous games.
"I think our approach to these games, not only Elden Ring, is to make them fun and encourage the player to be able to overcome obstacles," he said. "We do not attempt to create difficulties or make things difficult just for the sake of it. We want players to use their cunning, study the game, learn the rules of the game, and gain the lessons they have made."
We don't want players believe that the game is unfairly punishing, but rather that they have a chance to be successful in a challenging game and make progress. We know that Souls-like games are regularly associated with impossible levels of Elden Ring Runes for sale difficulty and huge barriers to admission.
