Allegiant Airlines is a pet-friendly airline and welcomes passengers to travel with their pets. To do this, passengers must comply with their rules and regulations relating to the transport of pets by air.

Preparing for the trip
Allegiant Airlines allows small live animals/pets in the aircraft cabin within the 48 United States border. Not all travel to international destinations and U.S. territories accepts pets.

Here are some things you need to know before traveling with your pet in the cabin:
Only dogs and cats are allowed in the cabin.
A non-refundable fee of $50 per segment per carrier will apply to all animals transported.
Each passenger can only have one pet carrier.
Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to travel.
Pets must remain in their carrier while in the airport terminal and on board the aircraft. Pets should only be handled by their owners/guests.
Passengers who do not comply with this rule may be refused boarding.
Pet carriers/tracks must remain under the seat during taxiing, takeoff and landing.
All pets must be harmless, odorless and non-disruptive.
All animals must be in good health prior to travel, free from any illness or mental/physical distress.
Animals must be comfortable in their carrier and no part of their body should extend beyond the confines of their carrier. Animals must be able to stand up, turn around and lie down comfortably in their carrier.
Passengers with pets cannot be seated in an exit row, a row before/after an exit row, or occupy a bulkhead seat.
Passengers with pets must check in with an Allegiant agent at the gate or boarding counter at least one hour before departure to ensure pets and pet carriers are in compliance with issued guidelines .
Guidelines for animal transporters
For their safety, there are certain guidelines regarding the carrier your pet travels in.

All animals must travel in a waterproof, closed, soft- or hard-sided transport bag.
The stand cannot measure more than 9"H x 16"W x 19"D.
The carrier must close completely to contain the animal inside.
No more than two animals are allowed per carrier.
Important Notices
TSA regulations limit each passenger to a maximum of 2 items carried on the aircraft. A passenger may travel with a pet and a personal item or paid carry-on bag, but not both.
Additional items will be checked, transported to the loading area and a screening fee applies.
A non-refundable fee of $50 per segment per carrier will apply to all animals transported.
A health certificate is not required for travel to the United States.
Allegiant Airlines does not allow pets to travel as cargo.
