Masking Tape for Tight Jambs and Wider Gaps
When painting a car, it is important to use masking tape to protect the areas you don't want to paint. However, not all masking tapes are created equal. For modern vehicles with tighter jambs, you'll need a masking tape that is 3/8" in diameter with 1/4" diameter foam core. For older vehicles with larger door and hood gaps, you'll need a masking tape that is 1/2" in diameter with 3/8" diameter foam core.
